Seven Types of Romantic Love in The world


There are many types of love in this world. Well, to be discussed here is the type of romantic love. Greatest happiness in life is the conviction that we are loved, so says the French poet Victor Hugo at one time. For centuries, humans try to interpret what love is, that love had come in a variety of definitions.
Of course it does not matter where the definition of love you choose. When sorted by type, here are seven types of romantic love:

  1. Love Escapist
    You fall in love with someone who is expected to transform your life. Someone who can take you out of the problem of the existence of self or psychological suffering, or someone who is literally able to save you.
  2. Savior-complex love
    You fall in love because thinking can save or repair the damage ”suffered” object love. This kind of love is the opposite of escapist love.
  3. Self-loathing love
    You fall in love with someone who treats you bad, because it feels deserve it. At extreme levels, this relationship can involve emotional abuse, verbal abuse, and physical violence. This kind of love is the opposite of narcissistic love.
  4. Redemptive love
    You fall in love because they feel the love object will give the same thing, the love that makes your life feel more valuable and meaningful. Almost similar to the escapist love, but this kind of love a bit more extreme.
  5. Practical love
    You fall in love knowing that someone has the values and goals similar to yourself, and hope you both can reach together.
  6. Antonymical love
    You fall in love because the object of love is so different, so exotic. He’s doing things very different ways, so you become fascinated and captivated by it. This kind of love in contrast to the narcissistic love.
  7. Narcissistic love
    You fall in love with someone who has the same qualities with you. View it as if looking in the mirror that reflects your own shadow.
